    Katie O’Connor is a recent graduate of the Joint Graduate Program in Communication and Culture at York and Ryerson Universities. her master’s research project examined the cultural construction of the serial killer in popular culture, and assessed how the serial killer is closely linked to consumer culture, representations of crime and criminal, transgression, and celebrity culture.
